What is the James Patterson Library?

How Does the Club work?

As a member of the James Patterson Library, approximately every 4 weeks (up to 13 times a year) a bestseller by James Patterson, including new titles on release date, will be shipped to you. When a new James Patterson book becomes available, it will be sent to you. In months where there isn't a new release, we'll send you your top selection from your Reading List of Patterson bestsellers. You can choose which books you want and in what order you'd like to receive them.

You may review your selections for 20 days of receipt with no obligation to purchase.

Of course, you can purchase any of our other James Patterson titles online at any time.

How do I join?

Joining the James Patterson Library is quick, easy and secure. First, click the "Start Now" button on the homepage. Then, set up your account, provide your shipping/payment information and agree to our risk-free membership terms. It's that simple!

What about commitments?

There are absolutely no commitments! You can return any book you receive within 20 days of receipt for a full refund and you can cancel your membership at any time. Your satisfaction is guaranteed!

What if I change my mind?

We guarantee your satisfaction. Your membership is risk-free. If you're not completely satisfied with your introductory package, you may return it within 20 days of receipt at our expense.

How much will I save?

As a member, you'll save up to 50% off Publishers' Edition prices on every book in the Club. Our books are full-length editions, sometimes altered in size.

I am not a resident of the United States; can I join the club?

At the present time only residents of the United States and those who are active U.S. military personnel living overseas (with APO/FPO addresses) can be members of the Club.

Credit/Debit Card Pre-Authorization

We will first authorize your credit or debit card when an order is placed, then we will charge the card when we ship the order. Most credit card companies and banks will reserve funds for the order during the authorization process, but the funds will not be transferred from your account until we ship your order. Orders using a bank card will be processed as soon as bank authorization is received.

Is it safe to enter my credit or debit card information on the website?

SSL is the industry standard and the most effective way to conduct secure commerce transactions. Billing & Shipping Questions

How does credit or debit card billing work?

When you authorize us to use your credit or debit card for all future shipments and club charges we will then automatically charge those items to that card. We will continue to charge that card unless you notify us of a change. In the event your card is no longer active (for example, the card has expired or we cannot obtain authorization from your card issue), we will attempt to charge any other credit/debit card that you have placed on file with us, in order to prevent disruption of your membership.

To add a new credit or debit card, or to update an existing one, simply click on "Account" located at the top of the page, and within the "Billing and Payment" section select "Billing Information". You can also change or edit your card when placing an order to making a payment with your credit or debit card or by contacting Customer Service. We will continue to apply your payments under this payment method unless you notify us through Customer Service to change your billing preference


We accept the following credit cards (and equivalent debit cards) at this time: Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card and American Express. Orders using a bankcard will be processed as soon as bank authorization is received.

A valid credit/debit card or a PayPal account must be kept on file for all future shipment and Club charges. Once you are a member, you can use pre-paid/gift cards for one-time purchases.

We collect taxes in states where applicable. That tax is paid to your state and/or local tax authorities. Many states require us to collect tax on the total cost of your order, including shipping and processing.
